BeforeAfter

One context instead of ten briefs.

Today every illustrator, designer, narrator and agency gets a separate brief, and each brief loses a little of the book. VerseVale keeps one shared context, so the art, the voices and the trailer all agree with each other and with the page.

Rights and data.

We claim no rights to anything we make for you. We never sell your books and never use your files for other clients.

Pilot material is used only for your pilot and deleted on request.

Zero data retention for your pilot: before it starts, we move every step that touches your manuscript (text analysis, images and voices) to zero-data-retention endpoints, so providers do not store your material or train on it. We confirm the setup in writing before you upload.

About VerseVale.

VerseVale is a small team in Sofia building AI tools that stay faithful to the book: art, voices and launch assets made from your manuscript, not from guesswork.

  • Faithful to the text. Every image and voice is grounded in the page, the characters and the world of your title.
  • Your rights, your data. We claim no rights to anything we make for you, and your manuscript is handled under EU law (GDPR).
  • Built with publishers. Founding partners shape what we build next.

Before you apply.

That depends on your contract with the author. Check that it covers illustrated or audio editions and does not restrict AI use; many recent contracts do. We ask you to confirm this before you upload a manuscript.

We claim no rights to anything we make for you. Protection for AI-assisted work depends on the country and on human contribution. In the US, for example, purely AI-generated images cannot be registered, while your selection, arrangement and edits can be. Ask your counsel how this applies to your edition.

No. Your pilot runs on zero-data-retention endpoints for text analysis, images and voices, so providers do not store your manuscript or train on it. We confirm the setup in writing before you upload.

No. Publisher manuscripts stay private to your account. They never appear in the VerseVale reader app, its catalog or public demos, and we never use them for other clients.

We delete your manuscript and pilot files within 30 days after the pilot ends, unless you decide to continue. You can ask us to delete them earlier at any time.

We start with a 30-minute call to understand your title and house style. We prepare a free pilot on one title within 10 business days, review the results together, and you decide whether to continue. We can accept up to 10 pilots per wave.

Pay per use: no seats, no subscription. Prices exclude VAT. You see the cost of every action before it runs. Founding partner prices are shown in the table above. We share a cost estimate for your title after the pilot call.

The program is a private beta; applications are reviewed and approval is not guaranteed. Approved founding partners receive 50% off our platform fee for 36 months from approval, while the account stays active; AI provider costs pass through at cost. The discount is not transferable and cannot be combined with other discounts. Qualified publishers receive a free pilot on one title after a 30-minute call. We can accept up to 10 pilots per wave. We claim no rights to anything we make for you. We never sell your books and never use your files for other clients. Pilot material is used only for your pilot and deleted on request. Before your pilot starts, we move every step that touches your manuscript (text analysis, images and voices) to zero-data-retention endpoints, so providers do not store your material or train on it. We confirm the setup in writing before upload.

We prepare print files with your production team during the pilot: art upscaled to 300 DPI at your trim size, converted to your printer's CMYK profile, with 3 mm bleed. Nothing goes to print before your team approves a proof.

Store rules for AI narration differ and change often. As of October 2026, Google Play Books and Kobo accept disclosed AI narration, ACX and Audible require human narration outside Amazon's own Virtual Voice, and Apple Books, Spotify and INaudio set their own conditions, such as approved production partners and disclosure. We check each store's current rules with you before you commit to an audiobook.

Article 50 of the EU AI Act requires AI-generated images and audio to carry machine-readable marks. We are adding these marks to every file we deliver. A visible credit, such as "Illustrations created with AI assistance", is your editorial choice.

Some readers object to AI art, especially when it is not disclosed. Publishers who disclose it and use it for special editions and launch assets, alongside commissioned work, get fewer complaints. The pilot lets you test it with your own readers first.

Yes. VerseVale can support drafts, concepts, and consistency references alongside your illustrators.

Yes. Voices are stored per character, so a reprint, a sequel or a trailer uses the same cast.
